Baby Calf Productions is a full production company with a heartfelt mission to create movies that will inspire a thought-provoking positive narrative, uplifting the human spirit.
We pride ourselves on creating small-scale projects as well as full-length feature films. We will handle all facets of the production process including budgeting, scheduling, scripting, hiring of cast and crew, managing the film production, post production, distribution ,and marketing.
We are an innovating, goal-oriented company with heart. We are a focused team with integrity and we bring passion to each of our projects. We are conscientious, strive to meet our deadlines, and work within our client’s budgets.
We love to bring stories to life from script to screen.

Biography
Damaris Cruz is an actress, a screen writer, a film maker and a producer. She has a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts from William Smith College in Geneva, New York. She is the youngest of four from a very traditional Puerto Rican family whose focus was academics. She studied nursing and obtained her license in 2003. She is very compassionate, and has a wonderful spirit which is recognized by everyone she meets. She is a hugger and will always ask “May I give you a hug?”
After moving to Florida, she met a friend who encouraged her to attend a local acting school, University Center for the Performing Arts in Davie, Florida. She was happy in her new creative playground. This led to a whole new world of possibilities and she was invited to work on her first film project. Her “AHA” moment was during her time filming with Ambassador Pictures as production assistant and soon after, production manager. This being her first time on set, she was green, but she had fire and passion.
During the process, she discovered her affinity for storytelling. Bitten by the acting bug, she further pursued her studies at The Burt Reynolds Institute of Film and Theater in Lake Park,Florida where she found her passion for improv. Her time studying in the arts and acting has inspired her to move forward using her creative and methodical spirit to build her production company.
In 2012 she took the plunge and founded Baby Calf Productions. She produced her first short film “The Ticket Box” which screened at the Action on Film, International Film Festival in Monrovia, California.
Baby Calf is currently in production with lots of exciting new projects on the horizon.

The Ticket Box
A compelling story of two friends who have a love hate relationship. Caught in tangled webs, the rivalry escalates creating tension at the movie theater where they both work.
This affects the lives of all the other employees. Breaking all the cardinal rules, romance ensues… the drama follows.
Hit pause! All this gets put on hold as the patrons of the theater arrive and they must be professional, leaving unsettled matters festering.
This dramedy will leave you wanting more!
Projects
We are very excited to share our vision, we call it… “The Joy Project”
Our mission for this project is to bring Fun, Laughter and Joy to our aging senior population, showing them that they matter, that they are important and integral part of our community.
We propose to bring our improv troupe to Nursing Homes, Assisted living facilities and Adult day care centers to perform and interact with the residents.
The Joy Project will allow Medicine and the Arts to merge aiding in and improving the residents quality of life!
